ASBC medallists as Khalit Aliyev and Argen Baktybekov won the gold medals at the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships

Bishkek hosted the new edition of the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships at the Kozhomkul Sport Hall. Thirteen winners celebrated their titles in the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships including ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships medallists as Khalit Aliyev and Argen Baktybekov.

Boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 were eligible to attend in the event which saw five competition days. Altogether 188 boxers including five girls competed at the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships in Bishkek. The competition was also a national selection event before the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.

Naryn region’s Perizag Temirova won the women’s flyweight (51kg) in the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships and became the first winner of the competition. Chui region’s Dzhalila Ulanova defeated all of her rivals by quick RSC successes and dominated the featherweight (57kg) in the national event. Dzhalal-Abad region’s Ayday Borbasheva won the third female category, the middleweight (75kg) in Bishkek.

Bishkek’s Dzhenish Uldatov had to beat four opponents including Elkhan Moldogaziyev for the title of the light flyweight (49kg) but he was highly motivated to accomplish his challenge in the national event. Twenty-four boxers attended at the flyweight (52kg) in Bishkek where Diyer Tilavaldiyev won all of his five contests. The Osh region’s boxer was too smart for Emir Erkinbekov in the second final of the male part of the national event.

Impressive number of 32 boxers attended at the bantamweight (56kg) where Turgunbek Imankadyrov had three tough contests but he managed to win these against Adilet Omurov, Yryskeldi Satiyev and Akzhol Asylbek Uulu. The lightweight (60kg) was an impressive challenge for the participating 28 boxers and finally Chui region’s Omar Livaza got the gold medal after beating Erzhan Avenov for the title.

Bishkek’s ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships competitor Ikhtiyar Nishanov moved up to the light welterweight (64kg) and controlled all of his contests until the final of the event. The 17-year-old boxer had a hectic final against Chui region’s Azis Sabirov but due to his stamina, he was able to win that difficult contest. Dzhalal-Abad region’s Eldar Turdubayev was the main favourite for the gold medal at the welterweight (69kg) and he accomplished that goal in the final against Uluk Iskender Uulu.

A 16-year-old talent, Bekbol Murasbekov caused the main sensation of the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championships who defeated Bishkek’s ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist experienced Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu in the final of the middleweight (75kg). Bishkek’s Sanzhar Akmatov dominated all of his bouts at the light heavyweight (81kg) and stopped Chui region’s Ramazan Bakirov in the final.

Chui region’s ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Khalit Aliyev knocked out his semi-final opponent but he had to do his very best in the final of the heavyweight (91kg) against Bishkek’s Sanzhar Tenizbekov. Another ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist boxer, Argen Baktybekov impressed in the national event and defeated Erzhan Tolkun Uulu in the final of the super heavyweight (+91kg).
