ASBC events in 2017 and their biddings are open

The Asian Boxing Confederation is announced its calendar of the next year and the bidding process for the 2017 ASBC events is open. The Asian Boxing Confederation is planning to host five different continental championships in the year of 2017 which would be record number of events.
The next edition of the Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo 2020 therefore the Asian Boxing Confederation raised its activities to give chance for all of the boxers in the continent to prepare well to the most important event of the cycle.
ASBC events in 2017:
– ASBC Asian Confederation Men’s Elite Boxing Championships
– ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Elite Boxing Championships
– ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships (16-17 year old boxers)
– ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships (14-15 year old boxers)
– ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships (12-13 year old boxers)
One of the most important event, the ASBC Asian Confederation Men’s Elite Boxing Championships is planning to be held in May or in June before the AIBA World Boxing Championships which is scheduled in Hamburg, Germany in September. The last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Men’s Elite Boxing Championships was held with great success in Bangkok, Thailand.
Asia’s female elite boxers are among the bests in the world and new top nations joined to that part of boxing with good results such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Chinese Taipei. Following the competition in Wulanchabu, China in 2015 the next edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Elite Boxing Championships is scheduled in 2017. According to the plans of the ASBC management the competition will be held in August or in September.
Following the changes of the age groups the 2017 edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be taking place for the 16-17 year-old boxers in 10 weight classes. Pavlodar hosted the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in May 2016 where the level of the bouts was world class and Kazakhstan dominated the event.
ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships is planning to held for the 14-15 year-old boxers and among them the older age group could be join to the youth level in 2018 when the 3rd edition of the Youth Olympic Games will be held. The last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships was taken place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in June 2015 where the host nation secured seven gold medals while our developing boxing country Afghanistan also achieved two bronze.
ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships is a new event in the Asian boxing calendar which will be held for the 12-13 year-old newcomers and young talents. The first edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships is planning to be held in 2017.
