Amman to host training camp prior to ASBC elite meet

With the help of the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC), the Jordan Boxing Association (JBA) will organize an international training camp for the participants in the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s & Women’s Boxing Championships 2022 in the host city of Amman.

The training camp is scheduled on October 14 to 29 to aid the athletes acclimatize to the environment in the Jordanian capital before the actual tournament rolls off on October 30.

All 13 official weight divisions for men and 12 for women are included in the camp which is open to all Asian National Federations.

Mr. Mahmoud Alshwarbeh, Secretary General of JBA, said the accommodation will be the Al Fanar Palace Hotel and the organizers will take care of local transportation.

The Asian Elite Boxing Championships will be the second continental competition that Amman will host this year following the successful staging of the Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships last March.
