Amer Hussein Al-Suwaider continued his amazing winning path in the Abu Dhabi Championships

The Abu Dhabi Boxing Championships are scheduled for the schoolboys, juniors and youth boxers in the United Arab Emirates. Altogether 19 champions have been crowned in the Abu Dhabi Boxing Championships and among them UAE’s best future hope Amer Hussein Al-Suwaider also won the title of the national competition.
United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation hosted its next national event and their increased activity is the part of the long term strategy. Women’s and men’s elite boxers from the United Arab Emirates proved strong developments in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Bangkok, Thailand on April.
Following the Ramadan Open Boxing Championships, the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation’s next event was held in Abu Dhabi. United Arab Emirates had more training camps and competitions in the recent four years since their new management started to build up quality boxers and national teams in all age groups.
The schoolboy boxers could attend in four different weight classes and the event was a selection competition for them before the start of the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships. The historical first edition is scheduled to be held in Kuwait City in the beginning of next month and UAE will be one of the participating nations there.
The first gold medal among the schoolboy boxers was taken by Fujairah’s Mohamed Ali Khamees following his success over Saeed Al-Jabri at the 40kg weight class. Abu Dhabi’s two excellent local hopes as Khaled Alhourdi (55kg) and Abdelaziz Humied (67kg) delivered smart boxing in their respective finals. The fourth and last schoolboy title was earned by Saleh Al-Jabri after beating Jaweed Hussein at the +70kg weight class.
The junior hopes attended in nine categories in the Abu Dhabi Championships which was their most important national event for them to select the bests to the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships which will be held in the United Arab Emirates this October.
Fujairah won also the first title among the junior boxers following their Khaled Al-Mourshidi was able to beat Ali Nabeel in the final of the light flyweight (48kg). Hussein Salem (50kg) and Ahmed Al-Mosabi (52kg) also proved their talents in the Abu Dhabi Championships. Fujairah’s second junior gold medal was delivered by Nawaf Ali who has the realistic chance to represent UAE in the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships. Zeyad Wail (75kg), Omar Hussein (80kg) and Abdullah Al-Hosani (+80kg) are also aiming for places in the national team after their gold medals in Abu Dhabi.
The youth boxers are the most experienced in the United Arab Emirates who have been preparing hard to the forthcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships which will be held in Mongolia this November. The youth boxers were able to take part in six different divisions in Abu Dhabi.
United Arab Emirates sent record number of boxers to the Puerto Princesa 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships. Those athletes are now their best youth hopes including the No.1 Amer Hussein Al-Suwaider who won the title of the light welterweight (64kg) by large margin of differences. Saoud Al-Barout won one of the most exciting finals against experienced Sayaf Al-Riyami at the heavyweight (91kg).
