Altogether 64 boxers are train together in Ashgabat as part of the ASBC Development Program

Turkmenistan Boxing Federation with the active support of the Asian Boxing Confederation is hosting an international training and sparring camp for the Asian nations in Ashgabat these days. The period of the training camp is May 10-20 and besides to Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Sri Lanka are also attending in the event.
The training camp in Ashgabat was organised by the Asian Boxing Confederation which is part of their newly launched ASBC Development Program. The first training camp of the program was hosted in Almaty, Kazakhstan in February with a great success which was also visited by ASBC President Mr. Serik Konakbayev.
Turkmenistan Boxing Federation has got a new management which is widen their focus to outside of the country and trying to increase their possibilities and results into a new level. Ukraine’s top coach Vladimir Vinnikov, who is working in the Sri Lankan Boxing now, is leading the sessions of the training camp in Almaty.
Altogether 12 women and 52 men boxers are attending in the training camp in Ashgabat where the equipments, the facilities and the whole environment are in an Olympic Games standard. Turkmenistan hosted the 2017 edition of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat and all of the venues are new in the capital city.
The main purpose of the international training camp is a preparation for the upcoming Asian Games which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia this August. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is also on the focus for the Turkmenistan Boxing Federation and the coaches of the participating teams can share their experiences during the camp.
