Altogether 247 boxers from 32 nations are attending in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament after Official Draw confirmed the final figures

Following the general weigh-in and the Technical Meeting the Official Draw of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament was held in the Bangkok Asia Hotel which is the official accommodation place of the delegations in Bangkok. The number of the boxers in the competition is altogether impressive 247 and 14 champions will be crowned on July 27.
It is revealed that 98 women boxers and 149 male athletes will be attending in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament this year. Most of the participating nations are using the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament as the last selection and preparation before the upcoming AIBA World Boxing Championships and AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships.
New Zealand’s Mr. Keith Walker is the Technical Delegate of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament who led the Technical Meeting and also the Official Draw. He started the Official Draw with the Roll Call of the 32 participating countries which arrived from all of the five Confederations.
Thailand’s AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Chuthamat Raksat moved back to the light flyweight (48kg) and will be boxing as first with Russia’s EUBC European Women’s Champion Ekaterina Paltseva. Thailand’s Youth Olympic Games winner Panpatchara Somnuek will have also a tough opponent as first India’s AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Manisha Moun at the featherweight (57kg).
Thailand’s AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships silver medallist Sudaporn Seesondee also had an Indian opponent as first, Shashi Chopra who became AIBA Women’s Youth World Champion two years ago. The most exciting women’s welterweight (69kg) preliminary bout will be held between two strong hopes Italy’s Angela Carini and Denmark’s Yvonne Baek Rasmussen.
The most anticipated fight of the men’s lightweight (60kg) could be held between Thailand’s Rujakran Juntrong and Uzbekistan’s Shunkor Abdurasulov who both claimed medals in the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games. Thailand’s Somchay Wongsuwan and India’s Manish Kaushik both are top boxers at the light welterweight (64kg) and they will be boxing each other in the first preliminary round.
Uzbekistan’s AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Ikboljon Kholdarov moved up to the welterweight (69kg) and could be expecting a tough fight against Kazakhstan’s ASBC Asian Youth Champion Ayatulla Takizhanov. The next Uzbekistan vs. Kazakhstan battle will be held at the light heavyweight (81kg) between Dilshodbek Ruzmetov and Dinislam Abdeshev.
