ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be held in Pavlodar in May
The 2016 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be held in the city of Pavlodar in North Kazakhstan between 1-8 May. The boxers who were born in 1998 and in 1999 will be eligible to compete in the 2016 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar.

The continental competition will be also a great possibility to raise the experiences of our young boxers in the year of the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships which event will be taking place in St. Petersburg, Russia between October 24 and November 6 after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Asian Boxing Confederation is expected to take part record number of nations and boxers in the 2016 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships. The last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships was held in Bangkok, Thailand on January in 2014 where Asia’s No.1 Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India and host Thailand claimed the gold medals.

Pavlodar is one of the oldest cities in the Northern area of Kazakhstan, founded in 1720. The total population of the city is 340,000 present days. Mosques, cathedrals, churches, fountains, parks and new modern business buildings also could be found in the city of Pavlodar which is a developing one in Kazakhstan.

Pavlodar is reachable via flights from capital city of Kazakhstan Astana and Almaty as well. The distance between Kazakhstan’s capital Astana and Pavlodar is only 400 km. The expected temperature in Pavlodar could be 18-26 degrees maximum and 4-8 degrees minimum in the morning by the time of the 2016 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships with low possibility of raining. Pavlodar is also ASBC President and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konakbayev’s birth city.

11-16 March 2016 – Pavlyukov Youth Tournament, Anapa, Russia
22-28 March 2016 – Danas Pozniakas Youth Tournament, Vilnius, Lithuania
29 March – 4 April 2016 – Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament, Turkestan, Kazakhstan
4-10 April 2016 – Emil Jechev Youth Memorial Tournament, Sofia, Bulgaria
9-10 April 2016 – Pyynikki Elite & Youth Tournament, Tampere, Finland
