Young future hopes won the titles in the Jordan National Championships where female boxing also involved to the event

The Jordan National Boxing Championships was held in Amman where the elite female and male boxers could attend for the 11 titles. The young future hopes of the Arabic country such as Mohammad Adnan Abu Jajeh, Mohammad Al-Matbouli and Mohammad Al-Yazouri won their weight classes in Amman where 89 boxers took part representing 16 teams.
The women boxers could fight in two weight classes, at the featherweight (57kg) and at the light heavyweight (81kg) in Amman. The men boxers attended in nine categories from the flyweight (52kg) up to the super heavyweight (+91kg). Jordan has qualified two boxers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games which was record in their boxing history and the Western Asian country is planning to get even more success in the upcoming years.
Jordan introduced their women boxing team at the very first time in 2010 and after a long break their female talents took part in the AIBA Asian & Oceanian Olympic Qualifier two years ago. Their Aalia Sameer became the first champion in the women’ part of the National Championships following her KO success over Danya Al-Natsheh at the featherweight (57kg). The second gold in the women’s event was achieved by Hala Alanati at the light heavyweight (81kg) in Amman.
Abdallah Daraghmeh competed in the AIBA Asian & Olympic Qualification Event two years ago and attended in a few other international competitions. The 22-year-old flyweight (52kg) talent spent only a short time in the ring against Malek Abdallah in the final when his opponent’s ringside abandoned their fight.
Adel Darweish Al-Matbouli joined to the national team as a teenage talent in 2012 and took part in the Amman 2013 ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships. The 24-year-old boxer is now competing at the bantamweight (56kg) who defended his national title after beating Yazed Abu Ghneim in the final.
Mohammad Adnan Abu Jajeh also involved to the national elite team as an 18-year-old talent two years ago. He competed in the 2016 AIBA Asian & Oceanian Olympic Qualification Event at the flyweight (52kg). Since then he moved up to the lightweight (60kg) and impressed in the final against Ahmad Al-Jebawi.
Another international level boxer Mohammad Al-Matbouli is also a young hope in Jordan who competed at the light welterweight (64kg) in Amman and controlled his final against Abdelrahman Fayad. Ahmad Al-Aydi was a newcomer in the national stage in 2017 but he was able to beat former National Champion veteran Rami Al-Khawaldeh in the final of the welterweight (69kg).
A 22-year-old middleweight (75kg) talent Thaher Al-Nobani claimed gold medal in the 2014 Jordan Youth National Championships which he changed into another title but this time among the elite athletes. Mohammad Al-Yazouri joined to the elite national team in 2015 at the age of 19 and attended in several international events and training camps which paid off in his light heavyweight (81kg) final against a strong opponent, Jehad Mohammed Abu Alkher.
Odai Riad Al-Hindawi claimed silver medal in the Incheon 2014 Asian Games at the middleweight (75kg) but since then he moved up to the heavyweight (91kg) and defeated National Champion Mohammed Al-Nadi in the final. The last gold medal of the Jordan National Championships was taken by Odai Al-Zaghaleel who was quicker in the final than Mohammad Al-Khateeb.
