Three Asian franchises will be fighting in the World Series of Boxing Season VI
The drawing ceremony of the Season VI of the World Series of Boxing was held during the AMBC American Confederation Boxing Championships in Vargas, Venezuela and the boxers of our three franchises are trying to prepare well enough to the upcoming matches.
Astana Arlans Kazakhstan is the defending champion in the World Series of Boxing after their second team title which their boxers reached at the Season V. In the team finals the franchise involved Kazakhstan’s best boxers such as Daniyar Yeleussinov, Kayrat Yeraliyev, Olzhas Sattibayev, Vasiliy Levit and Ivan Dychko therefore the triumph over Cuba Domadores was not a big surprise.
China Dragons could not advance from the Group round to the knock-out stage in the Season V of the World Series of Boxing. The participation of the Chinese WSB team was a great experience for their boxers as they are trying to build up a new team. Some of their new talents such as Hu Jianguan and Liu Wei shined in the Season V at the WSB.
Uzbekistan Team is a new Asian franchise in the World Series of Boxing but known the strength of the Central Asian boxing country they can shine in the Group Stage in spite of the fact they will have strong opponents. Uzbekistan Team has got great boxers and planning to do surprises in the upcoming season. The Uzbek team claimed eight medals in the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Bangkok and their top athletes proved their level is enough strong to the WSB.
The World Series of Boxing will be a new possibility for the Asian athletes to raise their experiences before the qualification events and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu is planning to involve more Asian nations to the World Series of Boxing in the future because our continent’s boxing market has got great future potential in the upcoming years.
