Twin brothers from UAE will be in action in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships

Twin brothers from the United Arab Emirates will be representing the country in the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Puerto Princesa. Saif Al-Kharoosi (46kg) and Ali Al-Kharoosi (48kg) both have been training in Abu Dhabi and will be competing in the Philippines in two weeks.
United Arab Emirates will be sending record number of seven boxers to the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships which is a great commitment from the country and a big step on the road of their developments. Besides to the twins other brothers will be also in action in Puerto Princesa: Al Ain’s Nawaf Al-Riyami (+80kg) and his younger brother Saif Al-Riyami (63kg).
Their boxers trained every day to prepare well to the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships. Their head coach Mr. Omar Al-Majali selected eight of their current Junior National Champions and finally seven boxers received the right to compete for United Arab Emirates in Puerto Princesa. Besides to the brothers Al Ain’s Amer Al-Suwaider (66kg), Fujairah’s Saoud Al-Baroud (70kg) and Fujairah’s Saif Al-Kindi (75kg) will be competing in the continental event.
The upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Palawan which is a picturesque island in the Philippines and its biggest city Puerto Princesa will be hosting the continental event in August 1-7. The date of the arrival of the delegations is July 29-30 while the first competition day will be taking place on August 1.
The ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships will be held in the 13 official men’s weight classes: 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg. Boxers who were born in 2001 and in 2002 are eligible to take part in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships.
