Twenty-one Asian countries are participating in Dubai

The exciting money prize event, the IBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships will start in Dubai tomorrow and the Official Draw confirmed the schedule of the first competition day.

Altogether 428 boxers are participating in the IBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships in Dubai for the 13 available gold medals.

Afghanistan, Bahrain, Cambodia, IBA-China, IBA-India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Palestine, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan are the 21 participating countries from the Asian continent.

The competition period of the Championships in Dubai is December 4-13 including a rest day on the 12th which will attract a Pro Boxing Gala.

Several of the titleholders from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have registered to defend their World thrones in the new edition but many of the participating countries have stars in their line-ups.

The winners of each weight category will get 300,000 USD, the silver medallists 150,000 USD, the bronze medallists 75,000 USD while the quarter-finalists also 10,000 USD.

Altogether 54 bouts are scheduled in the busy first competition day and the sessions will start at 17:00 and 21:00 in the evening.

Uzbekistan’s Asian Champion Javokhir Ummataliyev, Tajikistan’s Asian U22 Champion Anushervon Fazylov, Mongolia’s veteran Davaadalai Altangerel, Cambodia’s ex-Uzbek Asian U22 silver medallist Abdulla Rajapov and Thailand’s Thichakorn Srisakul are all will be starting their campaigns in the first competition day tomorrow.
