Today is the deadline for the registrations to the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The registrations can arrange through the AIBA Database and the ASBC Google Form which was created by the ASBC Head Office.

ASBC President and the management of the Asian Boxing Confederation recommends to the affiliated National Federations to register in both ways to be sure their delegation members have been added to the entry list of the event. The ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on August 17-31 and could be the next highlight in our continent. The team delegations’ handbook and all important tournament information are sent to the National Federations via email. The competition period of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships is August 20-30.

ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be a money prize event, following the management of the Asian Boxing Confederation, the ASBC Head office and AIBA confirmed it. The medallists of the 2021 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships received cash prizes besides to their medals in May and the youth and junior boxers will be able to earn money in the next upcoming continental event.

The gold medallists in the youth age group will get 6,000 US dollars, the silver medallists 3,000 while those who claim bronze in the weight categories can expect 1,500 USD following their performances. The money prizes in the junior age group will be the same as in the EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships which finished in Tbilisi a few days ago. The junior winners can earn 4,000 USD, the silver medallists 2,000 and the bronze medallists 1,000 US dollars in the forthcoming continental event.

At the very first time in the Asian boxing events’ history, two age groups, the junior and the youth can attend in one championships. The women and the men boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to compete in the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. The younger boxers who were born in the years of 2005 and in 2006 can attend in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The new youth weight categories will be affected the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships and these divisions to be introduced in the event in Dubai. The new female youth categories are 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg. The male youth divisions will be the 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg.

The upcoming edition of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held for all of the women’s and men’s weight classes which are official in these age groups. The junior boxers’ weight categories remain the same, the 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg for both genders.
