All of the affiliated national federations confirmed the list of their qualified boxers who can show their skills in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. After the Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships the Asian continent had 14 quota places to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and among them 13 can compete in Brazil next August due a duplication.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev (56 kg), Elnur Abduraimov (60 kg), Fazliddin Gaibnazarov (64 kg) and 19-year-old Bektemir Melikuziev (75 kg) secured their new places to Rio which means Uzbekistan is now near to their previous performance which was six in London. Uzbekistan had two quota places, Hurshid Tojibaev from the APB and Elnur Abduraimov from Doha in the Lightweight class (60 kg) but the Uzbek Boxing Federation decided to give the quota to Tojibaev.
