The Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships started at the Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School

The Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships is underway at the famous Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School in Tashkent.

The Uzbekistan Boxing Federation together with all of the regions of the country and other sport authorities arranged the first phase of their Olympic Hopes Tournament which is long competition series. Next to this longer event, their Schoolboys National Championships make their age group busy in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan was impressed in all of the recent top international schoolboys events including the Asian Boxing Championships as well.

Their youngest boxers from the 2011 and 2012 age groups are focusing to achieve the best results in the Schoolboys National Championships which is the main selection event for the later international actions.

The Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School has an important role in the country’s physical and technical trainings in the youngest generation of boxers in Tashkent. The sports school was established only a few years ago but it has produced already some of the national champions and international tournament winners.

The total number of boxers is 395 in this edition of the Schoolboys National Championships from the 33kg weight class to the +70kg. All of the official categories such as the 33kg, 35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70kg are in actions in Tashkent.

The most popular category are the 40kg, 43kg and 46kg divisions with the participation of 35 pugilists in each. There are also 30 boxers in the smallest 33kg weight category where the minimum limit is 30kg for all of the participants.
