The Ulaanbaatar Box Cup will be the highlight of the upcoming days which will be visited by ASBC President Mr. Serik Konakbayev

The next edition of the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup will be held in the Mongolian capital city in June 19-25 which will be the highlight of the upcoming days. President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konakbayev will be also visiting the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup in Mongolia.
The Ulaanbaatar Box Cup will be a strong preparation event for the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games and it will be another selection tournament for the Mongolian boxers and other participating nation’s athletes. Among the top Asian boxing nations Kazakhstan, South Korea, Thailand, China, host Mongolia and Iran will be also taking part in the new edition of the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup.
The Ulaanbaatar Box Cup launched in 2016 as the name of the Chinggis Khan Cup and following the first successful edition the second was held in June 2017. In the recent two years Uzbekistan, China, Russia, DPR Korea, Hungary, Philippines, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei and Kyrgyzstan also sent boxers to the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup.
Chinese Taipei’s woman No.1 Chen Nien Chin, DPR Korea’s ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Boxing Championships silver medallist Pang Chol Mi, Indonesia’s Southeast Asian Games winner Aldoms Suguro and Mongolia’s ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships silver medallist Gan-Erdene Gankhuyag are titleholders in the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup.
The Ulaanbaatar Box Cup will be held in seven men and five women weight classes in June to prepare the boxers well to the Asian Games. As in the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup and in the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament money prizes will be presented for the individual boxers in Ulaanbaatar.
