The Technical Meeting of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships was held in Bangkok
The Technical Meeting of the new edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships was held in the Alexander Hotel which is the official accommodation place of the delegations in Bangkok. The ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships is the lone qualification event for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games and for the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.
Furthermore the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships is an important step in the road to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, our continent’s currently best youth boxers could be strong elite athletes in two years.
Mr. Kraitach Kaewkate opened the Technical Meeting on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and Thailand Boxing Association. ASBC Executive Director Mr. Bagdaulet Turekhanov welcomed all of the participants and underlined the importance of the event. He mentioned the slogan of the current ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships: “Future starts here”.
Mr. Adam Kusior of Poland is the Supervisor of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships who led the Technical Meeting and after the roll call of the countries he informed all delegations about the schedule of the competition, the competition venue, the coaches’ requirements, the test scales, the official draw, the scoring system, the new rules, the equipments, the requirements during the competition and other important issues as well. All participants shall to follow the AIBA Disciplinary Code and respect for all rules of the championships.
ASBC PR & Communication Manager Mr. Tibor Kincses introduced the Qualification Guideline of the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games and the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships to the delegations in the second part of the Technical Meeting. The equipments of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships were provided by the company of Wesing.
