The Syrian Arab Boxing Association hosted a successful National Referees & Judges Seminar
The Syrian Arab Boxing Association hosted a Seminar for the national level of the Referees & Judges in the city of Aleppo during the Syrian Junior National Championships in the recent days. The final examinations closed the activity of the Syrian Arab Boxing Association and the participants received their degrees.
The Syrians were one of the most active National Federations in the Western Asian region in the recent one year. The national course consisted theoretical and practical parts to increase the level of the knowledge of their referees. The National Referees & Judges Seminar was held in two languages at the very first time in Syria, in Arabic and also in English to keep the international standards.
The Chairman of the ASBC Refereeing & Judging Commission and the President of the Syrian Arab Boxing Association Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib was one of the instructors of the Seminar. AIBA 3-star Referee & Judge Mr. Issa Al-Nassar and the Chairman of the Syrian Refereeing & Judging Commission, AIBA 2-star R&J Mr. Hassan Brez joined to the President in this project.
The Syrians have strong targets, following their several national events, sparring camps, training projects, and international relations with neighbouring countries, their boxers are ready to join to the international stage. Mr. Shbib keep the focus to the next generation of Syrian boxers to reach the top Asian level in the upcoming years.
The Syrian National R&J Seminar was held in high quality with excellent instructors and the participants have to done practical exams as the final step of the project. Following their Youth National Championships, their junior boxers were in action in Aleppo, while the elite athletes will have selection competition next month.
