The semi-finals and the finals of the Indian Rana Sanga Trophy will be coming soon
India’s first event in the year, the Rana Sanga Trophy will be coming soon with its semi-finals and finals in the city of Udaipur.
The venue of the Rana Sanga Trophy is the Atal Bihore Indoor Hall at the MB College Ground in Udaipur which is located in the state of Rajasthan. Mr. Ramchandran Salvi is the secretary of the organizing committee in Udaipur together with the officials of the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation.
Their event will be held for the junior boxers, the 2010 and the 2011 born athletes are eligible to participate in the Rana Sanga Trophy. The Indian junior boxers made strong impressions in the previous international competitions in the recent nine years.
The boxers are competing in the event at the pinweight (46kg), light flyweight (48kg), flyweight (50kg), light bantamweight (52kg), bantamweight (54kg), featherweight (57kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (63kg), welterweight (66kg), light middleweight (70kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (80kg) and heavyweight (+80kg).
The semi-finals of the Rana Sanga Junior Trophy are scheduled to be held on January 23 while the finals will take place in Udaipur, one day later on the 24th.
The cash prizes will be shared between the gold, silver and bronze medallists, each bout looser, the team champions and the best referee and judge in Udaipur.
January is still a low season in many countries but India and some other Asian nations arranges its first selection events, national competitions.
The Indians impressed at the recent IBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships in Dubai where the country competed with 13 male boxers.
The Indian Amateur Boxing Federation has strong plans for 2026, the country’s management is aiming to earn titles and medals in the top international competitions.
