The Saudi Arabian Boxing Family celebrates its National Day

The Saudi Arabian Boxing Family celebrates its National Day today which is the most important holiday in the country every year.
The Saudi Arabian National Day is celebrated in all regions of the country on every 23 September each year to commemorate the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a royal decree which was issues by King Abdul Aziz ibn Saud in 1932. King Abdullah (1996-2005) raised that day into an official national holiday 20-years-ago in 2005.
The Saudi Arabian National Day is celebrated mostly with folklore dances, national songs and traditional festivals throughout the country. The roads, the cities, the buildings and all public areas are decorated with the official flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation wishes all the best to the Saudi Arabian Boxing Family and great prosperity to achieve even better results in the upcoming international events. The Saudi Arabians have got long term strategic plans in boxing, their management began the work from the youngest age groups and they have promising results.
The Saudis competed in all of the recent Asian Boxing Championships and their female boxer, Yara Alamri made a new history for them when she achieved a bronze medal at the Asian Elite Championships in Chiang Mai last December.
The Saudi Arabians will host the next edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games later this year where boxing is part of the official program.
