The prestigious 21st Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament will be held in Kostanay on July 25-30
The 21st edition of the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament scheduled to be held in July 25-30 this year, following the event has been removed from its first date. The competition is open for all of the National Federations and the local organizers are waiting for high number of talents to Kazakhstan. The strong Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament will be returning to the boxing map after two years of break.
This strong men’s youth international competition was named by Mr. Ural and Mr. Korgan Aitenov. The city of Kostanay is located in the Northern part of Kazakhstan and has been hosting the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament in the recent 21 years.
Boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to attend in the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament. The men’s youth event will be held in ten different weight categories: light flyweight (49kg), flyweight (52kg), bantamweight (56kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (64kg), welterweight (69kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (81kg), heavyweight (91kg) and super heavyweight (+91kg).
The date of the arrival to the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament is July 25 while the departure is July 30. The teams are responsible for purchasing tickets to Kazakhstan but the meals, accommodation and the local transportation will be sponsored by the Ural and Korgan Aitenov Boxing Club for the delegations. All of the team members must have to bring their negative Covid-19 PCR test not later than 72 hours before arrival to Kostanay.
The last 2019 edition of the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament was an important preparation event before the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships which took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on November 2019. Altogether 105 male boxers attended for the medals and prizes in the 2019 Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament. Besides to the eight Kazakh titles, Tajikistan’s Ramoil Kurbonov and Italy’s Vincenzo Fiaschetti won the gold medals in 2019.
