The next edition of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan on July 14-30

The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation confirmed that the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held this year n Astana, Kazakhstan on July 14-30. Kazakhstan Boxing Federation hosted its last ASBC Championships in Pavlodar in 2016 and after seven years of break, a top event returns to the country.

All of the details, the team delegations’ handbook, the entry forms and the schedule of the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be available for the National Federations as soon as possible.

The boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 are eligible to participate in the youth part of the championships. The younger generation members from the 2007 and the 2008 age groups will be able to fight for the junior titles in Astana.

The city of Astana hosted the 2011 Cadet World Boxing Championships, the 2012 Asian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event, several rounds in the previous World Series of Boxing and the 2016 Women’s World Boxing Championships.

There will be still several preparation events for these age groups mostly in the European continent until the start of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The Boxam Tournament will be held in Spain, the Emil Jechev Memorial in Bulgaria, the Lah Nimani in Kosovo, the Yukov Memorial in Belarus and the prestigious Bornemissza Youth & Junior Memorial Tournament in Hungary.
