The next edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be held in Thailand in April 2018 after the bidding process was finished for the competition. The Thailand Boxing Association is ready to welcome all of the Asian delegations and the best women and men talents of our continent in the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships next April.
Boxers who were born in 2000 and in 2001 are eligible to take part in the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in April 2018. The ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will a qualification event for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games and also for the 2018 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.
The ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be held not only for the men’s boxers this time but at the very first time the best women’s youth athletes are also eligible to compete in the 2018 edition.
Bangkok hosted the event in 2014 where Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India and host Thailand claimed the gold medals. The star of the 2014 edition was Uzbekistan’s Bektemir Melikuziev who achieved silver in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. After three years the event was returned to Thailand this July but the country is ready to welcome all participants in the important qualification event once again in April 2018.
