The new edition of the Indonesian National Championships opened its first sessions in Sulawesi

The Pertina’s main event of the year, the Indonesian National Championships is underway and two sessions are already concluded in Palu City.

The venue of the Indonesian National Championships is the promising Palu City in the island of Sulawesi. The Palu City is the capital of Central Sulawesi Province in Indonesia and it is located in the northwest coast of the island.

The Indonesian National Championships is holding for the elite, youth, junior, schoolboys and schoolgirls boxers which means that all age groups and both genders have the right to compete for the titles.

The Indonesian Boxing Federation will celebrate its 66th anniversary end of this month and the competition is another great commitment from their new management which is planning to increase the level of the sport in all aspects.

The new President of the Indonesian Boxing Federation, Mrs. Dr. Hillary Brigitta Lasut, S.H., LL.M. also attended in the Grand Opening Ceremony of the National Championships.

Jurian Maulana Tasya is a young talent at the women’s elite bantamweight (54kg) but she needed only one and half minute to stop her opponent, Isna Saqbani, which was confirmed by the referee after the standing counts.

Silvania Putri Ayu competed in the last edition of the Indonesian National Games and a few other regional events in the past but her progress was exceptional against Amanda Novianti in their women’s elite featherweight (57kg).

The minimumweight (48kg) has strong traditions in Indonesia and their new youth talent, Gazali had a strong start in the National Championships, he stopped Nasrun in the second round of their preliminary meeting.

Mohamed Rival also started his campaign in the national event with a stoppage, he eliminated Rafi A. Panigoro at the youth bantamweight (54kg). Musa Alazizu became the next winner in this weight category, he outpointed Firmansyah with his speed and footwork.

Four contests took place at the men’s junior pinweight (46kg) in Palu City where the 15-year-old Kent Deco Arlandica, Frillo Sumampouw, Junior Nitbani and Yosafat Daniel Bryan were the winners of the opening session.
