The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation is planning to host five ASBC Asian Boxing Championships in 2020
The Asian Boxing Confederation produced a busy year in 2019 which is not ended yet as the first edition of the Asian Grand Slam Boxing Championships, the Southeast Asian Games, the South Asian Games and some other international events will be held in December. ASBC is focusing already to the next year’s events which will be guaranteed the further developments in our continent.
The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation is planning to arrange five big events in the year of 2020 to cover all age groups and genders, furthermore give them possibilities to box internationally. Besides to the five big events, the Children of Asia Games will be held for the junior boxers after the Tokyo Olympic Games in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on August 15-25 in 2020.
2020 ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships
The ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships was postponed from December 2019 to March 2020 which will be the first ever edition for this age group. The competition will be held in Uzbekistan next March and boxers who were born in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 are eligible to attend in the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships.
2020 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships
The 2019 edition of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on November. The 2020 edition is planning to be held in the first part of July before the Tokyo Olympic Games. The female and male boxers who were born in 2002 and in 2003 are eligible to compete in the 2020 edition of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. The bidding for the youth event is open for all Asian National Federations.
2020 ASBC Asian Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships
The first ever ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships was held in Kuwait City on August 2019 and the second edition will be coming soon in 2020. The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation decided to involve the schoolgirls as well in 2020 to keep the Gender Equality. The girls and the boys who were born in 2006 and in 2007 are eligible to compete in the 2020 ASBC Asian Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships.
2020 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships
Following the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Qualification Event and then Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the Asian Boxing Confederation is planning also a championship for elite boxers next year. The planning and approved date of the 2020 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships is November where boxers who were born between 1980-2001, could be attend.
2020 Asian Grand Slam Boxing Championships
ASBC’s new program the first Asian Grand Slam Boxing Championships will be held in Xiamen, China on December 18-22 this year. The second edition is planning to be held also in China on December 2020 after all competitions and the Grand Slam could be a money prize event for the women and men elite boxers.
