The Macau Open Tournament in an event of real boxing enthusiasm

The Macau Open Boxing Tournament, the Great Bay Are Invitation Tournament was held in the small country with emerging successes.

One of the experienced ITOs and boxing officials, Mr. Billy Vong is the engine in Macau boxing and despite the hard circumstances, he arranges at least three events in the country.

Macau is a developing country in boxing but they have several activities in a year which helps their talents to keep continuing. Macau was even active during the Covid-19 period with shadowboxing events, summer training camps and other kind of sparring sessions.

The small country is planning to participate in the next edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships, their best boxer is only focusing to the international stage.

The first bout was held between Pou Si Chio and Fong Man Hin at the light flyweight (50kg) and Pou won two out of the three rounds to take the title of the Macau Open.

The next contest delivered also a split decision, Peng Hou Tai was favoured against Lao Kok Kuan at the lightweight (60kg) in the new edition of the Macau Open.

Wan Sio Fung walked over to the title of the junior light middleweight (70kg) before Lam Ka Hou stopped Ian Chun Hei in the next bout. Lam achieved a silver medal at the 57kg weight class in 2024 and he switched that into a gold in the new edition at the 60kg.

Hong Kong’s Kuan Chi Tong and Wong Kei Nam delivered excellent performance in the Macau Open Boxing Tournament and the duo claimed gold medals in the event. Kuan Chi Ting bagged the title of the Macau Open in 2024 and he was able to defend his throne after beating Tsang Ka Hou by 3:2 split decision.

Tam But Man defeated Chai Ming Man by 4:1 in the seventh contest of the event while Liu Hou Man won the last bout of the Macau Open at the 60kg weight class. Liu had the strong advantage after two rounds against Tong Ha Ching and he deserved to win the title of the Macau Open.

 60kg: Tam But Man, Macau

 54kg: Liu Hou Man, Macau
