The Kazakhstan Schoolboys National Championships is underway in Kostanay

The Kazakhstan Schoolboys National Championships began with a long first competition day in the city of Kostanay where 86 preliminary battles were on the agenda.
Boxers who were born in 2011 and in 2012, are eligible to participate in the Kazakhstan Schoolboys National Championships.
The city of Kostanay was the host of several international, regional and national competitions in the recent years. Their Miroshnichenko Junior Tournament, the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament and the Kostanay Coaches Memorial Tournament will be still coming soon in the city this year.
Altogether 431 boxers from 20 regions and cities are participating in the Kazakhstan Schoolboys National Championships. The Turkestan and the Kostanay regions sent 23 young pugilists to the national event but the city of Almaty and the Dzhambul region both will have 22 boxers in the schoolboy competition.
Boxers can participate at the 30kg, 33kg, 35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70kg weight categories in Kostanay.
Mangystau region’s Nurlan Amangeldi won the first bout of the entire Kazakhstan Schoolboys National Championships in Ring A. The 14-year-old boxer defeated a younger opponent, Mereykhan Kamit at the 30kg weight class in Kostanay.
Karagandy region’s Nurlan Nuraliyev was the first winner in Ring B, the 30kg boxer bowed out Astana’s Bakdaulet Zhiekbek, winning the contest by unanimous decision.
The local team, the Kostanay region’s first successful boxer in the Schoolboys Nationals was Sultan Kaiyrbek who eliminated Marlen Amirov at the 33kg weight class.
Karagandy region’s Ali Nagashbek (33kg), Kuanysh Khalimbet (40kg), Meirkhan Saparbekov (40kg), Astana’s Nurislam Baktubayev (49kg), Miras Seydullayev (49kg), Nurmukhammed Temirbekov (52kg), Mansur Pulatzhan (52kg), Amanbek Suyingali (58kg), Rakhman Beyskhan (58kg), Beknur Batkolla (58kg) and Zangar Marat (70kg) won their first contests by RSCs.
