Kazakhstan’s Alina Kudaigenova won her third Asian gold medal and she was announced as the Best Woman Youth Boxer at the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Alina Kudaigenova was born in the Karagandy region on April 18 in 2008 and she joined the international stage of boxing at the age of 15.
Uzbekistan’s Aselya Tulegenova and Kazakhstan’s Alina Kudaigenova advanced to the finals of the junior light welterweight (63kg) at the 2023 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Astana. The Kazakh southpaw used her left-handed jabs effectively and she felt the distance also well enough to gain the control in the second and third rounds. Kudaigenova was a debutant in the international events but she won the title of the weight class and became the best in Asia.
She claimed a bronze medal at the 2023 IBA Junior World Boxing Championships in Yerevan where India’s Shrusthi Sachin Sathe stopped her in a tight semi-final. Kudaigenova closed the year of 2023 with a gold medal at the Junior National Championships.
Kudaigenova started the year of 2024 with a gold medal at the Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Junior Tournament in Almaty and she was focused for defending her ASBC Asian title. She landed tough hooks against India’s Yogima Kalyan in the final of their light welterweight (63kg) at the 2024 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships. Kudaigenova accomplished her objective and she not only won their contest in Al Ain but she defended her throne.
The 16-year-old talent not only competed at the Kazakhstan Women’s Youth National Championships on December 2024 but she stopped Aisha Sariyeva in the final of the light welterweight (63kg) in Zhezkazgan.
Before the start of the recent ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships, Alina Kudaigenova won several big events during her career and she was well-prepared to the next one against Sri Lanka’s Arachchige Wijesinghe. The 17-year-old boxer demonstrated her power in the first minute and the Sri Lankan corner abandoned the unequal light welterweight (63kg) final which was Kudeigenova’s third Asian title.
