The Grand Opening Ceremony opened the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships

The Grand Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships featured in the Beeline Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan before the first contests.

The Opening Ceremony started with nice music shows, national Kazakh dances and several cultural performances in Astana.

The flag parade of the countries followed by Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, Timor Leste, Chinese Taipei, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and finally host Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh Sport Mr. Serik Zharasbayev, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships and welcomed all of the 25 participating nations. 

Mr. Umar Kremlev, the IBA President, underlined Kazakhstan is a boxing power in our sport and the country will host further big championships in 2024. The President declared that IBA is the home of the boxers and the international association will help for the victims of the recent flood in Kazakhstan.

Mr. Abdulmutalim Abakarov, the Vice-President of IBA, also mentioned the importance of the event in his speech in the Beeline Arena.

Mr. Ali Salameh, the Secretary General of the Asian Boxing Confederation, is proud of Kazakhstan Boxing Federation’s work and their commitment to boxing.

The President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Mr. Shakhmurat Mutalip had a longer speech in two languages about the hard work of his team, the traditions of the boxing environment in the country and the efforts of his organization to host the event in Astana.

Ms. Buranakoson Tassaneeya of Thailand promised the fair play on her oath on behalf of all of the Referees & Judges of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships.

Mr. Torekhan Sabyrkhan, the three-time Asian Champion boxer from Kazakhstan, had the speech on behalf of the athletes of the competition.
