The fantastic Grand Opening Ceremony delighted the day at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships

The fantastic Grand Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships took place in the Grand Ballroom of the Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The local organizers used fantastic laser lights, amazing performers, wonderful music in a well-organized Opening Ceremony.

Mr. Rashed Al-Swaisat of Jordan passed away in the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships while the Executive Director of the Boxing Federation of India Mr. Raj Kumar Sacheti also died in the recent weeks. The officials and all of the participants of the Ceremony remembered to them by one-minute of silent standing.

The transparency and the fair play is one of the most important factors of the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships therefore the referees and judges had special oaths to follow all of the rules during the event. Ms. Piroska Beki of Hungary and Mr. Sultan Alwali of the United Arab Emirates were the speakers during the Grand Opening Ceremony.

ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba welcomed all of the participants in his speech, underlined the importance of the competition, the Tokyo Olympic Games and expressed his condolences to our friends. Mr. AIBA President Mr. Umar Kremlev had also a welcome speech to the participants of the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships.

The most successful female boxer of all-times, six-time AIBA Women’s World Champion and five-times ASBC Asian Women’s Champion Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmangte of India was also involved to the Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships.

The total number of the boxers is 150 including 47 women from 17 different nations in the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships. The competition will be starting with its first session on the 24 of May at 6pm in Dubai. The ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships is officially opened in the United Arab Emirates.
