The experienced Kyzaibay, Shekerbekova, Ibragimova, Volosenko and Khalzova all succeeded in the women’s finals in Karagandy

All of the experienced female boxers such as Nazym Kyzaibay, Zhaina Shekerbekova, Karina Ibragimova, Rimma Volosenko and Valentina Khalzova succeeded in the women’s finals at the Kazakhstan Elite National Championships in the city of Karagandy.
Karagandy hosts usually the Galym Zharylgapov Memorial Tournament in the month of December but the regional federation supported to arrange the Kazakhstan Elite National Championships as one of the last events of the year.
The two-time World Champion Nazym Kyzaibay moved back to the minimumweight (48kg) and she eliminated her main rival Anel Kudaybergen already in the semi-finals and she walked over to the title against Kyzyl-Orda region’s Akbota Bolat.
Alua Balkybekova moved up to the light flyweight (50kg) and she defeated her younger opponents such as Gulnaz Buribayeva and Gulnar Turapbay to take the title. The veteran Zhaina Shekerbekova eliminated another national team member, Symbat Aliaskar in the semi-finals of the bantamweight (54kg) and she was also too strong for Elina Bazarova.
The Paris Olympian and the 2022 ASBC Asian Champion Karina Ibragimova returned after a short break and she won the featherweight (57kg) title in Karagandy after beating the 22-year-old Aydana Zabynbekova in the final stage.
Astana’s ASBC Asian Champion Rimma Volosenko is still chasing her dreams, therefore she looked confident at the women’s lightweight (60kg) in Karagandy. The 32-year-old boxer defeated an U22 national team member, Anar Tursynbek in the final of the weight class.
Shymkent’s Laura Yesenkeldy had the routine to beat the ASBC Asian Youth Champion Aruzhan Zhanabayeva in the final of the light welterweight (63kg). The Youth World bronze medallist Zhasmin Kizatova had the speed advantage against Uldana Taubay and she enjoyed her first title in her new category, at the welterweight (66kg).
The former ASBC Asian Champion Madina Nurshayeva had a tight success at the light middleweight (70kg) while the former World Champion Valentina Khalzova also succeeded in the day of the finals against Anastasiya Bayazitova.
The Tokyo Olympian Nadezhda Ryabets returned to the sport and she managed the success at the light heavyweight (81kg) against Zhibek Zharaskyzy. The dream final at the women’s heavyweight (+81kg) was realized in Karagandy and the 37-year-old veteran Lazzat Kungeibayeva defeated Dina Islambekova in a hectic contest.
