The city of Karakol will host the Sabatarov Tournament this week
The Beyshembek Sabatarov International Boxing Tournament will take place in the city of Karakol in Kyrgyzstan on October 15-19 where fifteen young boxers will be crowned.
Karakol, or formerly known as Przhevalsk, is located in the eastern tip of the famous Issyk-Kul Lake and it is the fourth biggest city in Kyrgyzstan.
The Sabatarov International Tournament will support the promotion of boxing, the international relations and the friendships between the participating teams.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan both are planning to participate in the annual Sabatarov Memorial Tournament with their talented schoolboys next to the teams from Kyrgyzstan.
The competition is available for the 2011 and 2012 born boxers in Karakol and the schoolboy hopefuls can test themselves in an international event.
The young talents can compete in the following weight categories in Karakol: 33kg, 35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70kg.
The Kyrgyz competition will be one of the highlights of this week in the international boxing agenda and new young boxers could have the spotlight in Karakol.
Kyrgyzstan earned several medals and titles in the recent Asian Boxing Championships in all age groups but their schoolboys, juniors and youth talents were the bests in the highest levels of boxing in the previous one year.
The last edition of the Sabatarov International Tournament was a selection for the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in 2024. Kyrgyzstan’s and Uzbekistan’s schoolboys gave in everything in this competition to be selected for the upcoming Asian Championships which concluded in Al Ain one year ago.
The new upcoming edition will also an important selection competition for the upcoming international actions and events.
