The CIS Games opened with its first session in Azerbaijan

The Commonwealth of Independent States Games opened for the junior boxers in Azerbaijan with an exciting session.
Eight cities will host the CIS Games in Azerbaijan and boxing will feature at the Yevlakh Olympic Center until October 5.
Uzbekistan’s Rukhsonabonu Akhadova won the first top bout of the Games against Kazakhstan’s Ferghana Governor Junior Tournament gold medallist Diana Aitbayeva at the women’s pinweight (46kg).
Uzbekistan’s next girl, the 15-year-old Nazokat Mardonova was too smart for Azerbaijan’s Sima Ismayilova in their opener. The Uzbek talent increased the rhythm from the second round and she eliminated the local opponent winning the bout unanimously at the women’s flyweight (50kg).
Kazakhstan’s Adelaida Sadvakassova, who competed at the Silesian Women’s Open in Poland as last, also secured her place in the next stage after beating Belarus’ Lizaveta Kapyl at the women’s bantamweight (54kg).
Uzbekistan’s Rushanabonu Isoyeva dictated the tempo against Tajikistan’s Zhasmina Mamaraimova from the first seconds. The referee from Azerbaijan counted the Tajik girl in the second round of their light welterweight (63kg) meeting and Isoyeva marched to the next round in the Games.
Kyrgyzstan’s Mukhammadali Kanybekov had some difficulties in the first round against Turkmenistan’s Rakhmanberdi Rejepov but he stepped into the gas in the second in time to win their light flyweight (48kg) meeting.
Uzbekistan’s Bekhruzjon Rakhataliyev eliminated Azerbaijan’s Sadik Musayev 5:0 at the bantamweight (54kg) while his teammate, Khurshidbek Jurayev was too strong for his Belarusian opponent at the middleweight (75kg).
Uzbekistan’s Bobomurod Boymirzayev is one of the best junior male boxers in the entire competition and he had a strong opener against Turkmenistan’s 15-year-old Ezbermuhammet Myratdurdyyev at the men’s featherweight (57kg).
Tajikistan’s Amir Nozimov started well against Azerbaijan’s Nijat Imanov in their middleweight (75kg) contest but the local boy felt the support of the fans and returned to the match. Nozimov mobilized all of his power in the final minutes and he was able to win the most difficult contest of the session.
