The bidding for the 2019 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships is open for all NFs

The upcoming AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships will be held in New Delhi, India between November 13 and November 25 but the bidding for the 11th edition is open for all National Federations. The 2019 edition of the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships will be taking place in the final period of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic era.
The bidding documents are available for all National Federations in the AIBA and ASBC websites which contains all the necessary details, plans and benefits. The planning date of the 11th edition of the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships is October 2019 short after the Sochi 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships.
The first edition of the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships was held in the Unites States in Scranton in 2001. Following Scranton the following cities hosted the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships: Antalya, Podolsk, New Delhi, Ningbo City, Bridgetown, Qianhuangdao, Jeju and Astana.
The Asian countries topped the team rankings in the last edition of the Astana 2016 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships two years ago and our continent have got all of the potential to keep its top position in the upcoming two editions. China, India, Kazakhstan, DPR Korea, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Mongolia, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Tajikistan all have got powerful women boxing teams from our Asian continent.
There are plenty of advantages to host this competition including sport development, gender equality, marketing, financial, tourism and other areas as well. Women’s boxing is one of the most developing sports worldwide and our Asian continent is the leader in the female part of our combat sport.
