The Bengaluru Brawlers had a narrow 4-3 success over Punjab Panthers in the Big Bout League

The tenth day of boxing was held in the Indian Big Bout Boxing League between the Bengaluru Brawlers and the Punjab Panthers. The girls of the home team Anamika and AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Simranjit Kaur supported the Bengaluru Brawlers to win the match 4-3.

Big Bout is the official name of the Indian Boxing League which is a new program of the Boxing Federation of India which will be closing the busy year of 2019. Boxing Federation of India covered all costs for the boxers including flight tickets, accommodation, meals and local transportation, furthermore strong money prizes for the boxers. The competition period of the League is from December 2 until December 21 which is open for top foreign boxers as well.  

Anamika is a 19-year-old talent at the women’s flyweight (51kg) who won her next important fight in the Indian Big Bout Boxing League. The Bengaluru Brawlers’ teenager won her bout against Punjab’s Darshan Doot by unanimous decision. The Bengaluru Brawlers’ male flyweight (52kg) boxer Ashish Inshah was not enough strong to beat Punjab’s excellent Polipalli Lalita Prasad on Day10.

Bengaluru’s Dinesh Dagar was more experienced than Punjab’s Yashpal but he had to do his very best to beat his opponent at the men’s welterweight (69kg). Bengaluru’s third success was achieved by AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Simranjit Kaur who moved down to the lightweight (60kg) but she was enough technician to beat Punjab’s international level boxer Manisha Moun.

Punjab’s Ankit brought the franchise back to the business with his success over Suraj Singh at the men’s bantamweight (57kg). Bengaluru Brawlers’ key success was achieved by Pawan Kumar who triumphed over Rakesh Kumar at the men’s middleweight (75kg) taking the 4-2 lead for his franchise. The last bout of the night was won by Naveen Kumar at the heavyweight (91kg) who defeated Harshpreet by unanimous decision.
