The ASBC’s Educational Programs the online Webinars were amazed the continent’s stakeholders in the recent weeks

The Asian Boxing Confederation arranged strong educational programs in the recent weeks to reach all of the stakeholders, officials, coaches, referees and judges, boxers and fans to give them motivation in the hard period.

The fantastic series of these online webinars of the Asian Boxing Confederation were very popular among the stakeholders and followers which were held in the previous weeks through the Zoom application and streamed live in the ASBC Facebook page.

The Asian Boxing Confederation began the educational series with a special Webinar for the officials, boxers and coaches who are ready to return to the boxing events after the most difficult era of their career. The Asian Boxing Confederation’s Medical Commission member, Dr. Karanjeet Singh worked as panellist at the first Back to Ring Webinar for the continent on August 29.

Dr. Karanjeet Singh is a Sports Medical Consultant who has strong experiences in that field and his project named Back to the Ring. That Webinar contained theoretical and practical medical guidelines for the officials, boxers, referees & judges and coaches to return to the sport events and to the ring safely avoiding any new Covid-19 cases.

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s next Webinar the Women’s Empowerment & Building Skills was held online on September 19. ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba out the Gender Equality into the spotlight following he was elected in the 2018 AIBA Congress, and the new educational program supported the development and time management of the female boxers.

The Chairwoman of the ASBC Women’s Commission Ms. Shelly Selowati H. Soejono of Indonesia and new AIBA Executive Committee member, the President of the Boxing Association of Sri Lanka Mr. Dian Gomes were panellists of the Women’s Empowerment & Building Skills Webinar. ASBC Women’s Commission member Mrs. Rasha Al-Khamis of Saudi Arabia worked as moderator during the Webinar.

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s next online project, the Referees & Judges Choosing the Rightful Winner Webinar was an amazing success in October. Many of the Asian stakeholders, officials, R&Js and followers watched the long online webinar which was shared Live in the ASBC Facebook page which reached more than 30,000 people.

There were two sessions in the Referees & Judges Webinar on 9th and 10th of October and both events generated hug interest in the Asian continent. The official name of the Referees & Judges Webinar project was Choosing the Rightful Winner. The Asian continent has got experienced Referees & Judges but the improve them to another level could cause the perfect R&J work in the next ASBC Asian Boxing Championships.

Experienced international boxing officials as Mr. Ray Silvas of the United States and Mr. Paiboon Srichaisawat of Thailand worked as panellists in the Referees & Judges Webinar where they shared practical tactics and information to the R&Js. Mr. Ray Silvas worked as Technical Delegate and Supervisor in several World and Asian events in the previous years.

ASBC Administrative Director Mr. Bassam Ghanem was the Host of the Referees & Judges Choosing the Rightful Winner Webinar. ASBC Sports Director Mr. Omar Aljabri worked as Co-host and observer during the new R&J project.

The vision of the project was to help Referees & Judges, Timekeepers and officials to understand and apply all of the rules and the changes of the recent years. The fouls, the criteria, the possible scenarios, the tips for the Referees & Judges were all introduced to the participants for the better understanding and to standardize the whole process.

The Secretary General of the Boxing Association of Sri Lanka, energetic Mr. Hemantha Weerasinghe was the Moderator of the Webinar who has been appointed as Secretary of the ASBC Referees & Judges Commission. The Chairman of the ASBC Referees & Judges Commission Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib of Syria also joined to the first session and welcomed the new ASBC project.

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s final educational program was held for the coaches who can build up the next generation of boxers. The name of the ASBC Coaches Webinar project was How does a Coach Determine the Future of Boxing? The current President of the Chinese Boxing Federation Mr. Zhang Chuanliang works also as the Chairman of the Asian Boxing Confederation’s Coaches Commission and led the ASBC Coaches webinar as panellist.

Mr. Zhang Chuanliang worked as head coach of their national team including Olympic Games, AIBA and ASBC events before he has been elected as President of the Chinese Boxing Federation. The last ASBC Coaches Webinar was followed by more than 5,500 people and 44 have been shared the live coverage during the streaming.

Based on his experiences, Mr. Zhang Chuanliang introduced the theoretical and practical issues of the coaches during his Webinar lesion. All of our important stakeholders, coaches with different stars and levels, furthermore the Asian boxing family members joined to the program through the Live Streaming. All of the registered participants received certificates due to their participations in the online Webinars. All of the four online educational projects was free of charge for all of the registered participants.
