The ASBC medallist Yara Alamri dominated the Saudi Arabian Kingdom’s Cupv

The Saudi Arabian Women’s Elite National Championships, their Kingdom’s Cup was held in the capital city of the country in Riyadh where 35 female boxers competed for the 11 titles. Their historic ASBC bronze medallist talent, Yara Alamri dominated her weight class in the national event.
Saudi Arabia launched its women’s boxing only a few years ago but they competed already in the 2023 Arab Sports Games, the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou and several other regional and continental events.
The Saudi Arabian girls competed also in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand on December 2024 where the country claimed its first historic medal. Saudi Arabia has big plans in boxing and the country is ready to host major championships in the upcoming years.
Sumayah Yassir claimed the first title at the Kingdom’s Cup, she defeated Rawan Almuwallad in the final of the minimumweight (48kg) unanimously.
Yara Alamri defeated a more experienced boxer from Vietnam in the quarter-finals of the last ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships and she earned a bronze medal there. The 20-year-old talent landed strong punches against Ayah Buqis and the referee confirmed her RSC victory in the first round.
Tahani Aslim (54kg) and Nada Almaimani (60kg) won their final meetings against Ahlam Jawa and Jumana Mubarak by points decisions in Riyadh.
Ragad Alnaimi is the next top boxer in the women’s national team who competed at the light welterweight (63kg) in the National Championships. The experienced boxer was too smart for Nourah Alobaidi in the final of the national event and she defended her throne.
The Saudi Arabian Women’s Open bronze medallist Fatma Alnaimi won her welterweight (66kg) final by RSC while the titleholder Hala Alzobiry knocked out Maram Alnasser in the first round of their middleweight (75kg) title contest.
