The 2nd edition of the Bahrain Royal Rumble Boxing Tournament will be held on November 30

Bahrain Boxing will arrange its second edition of the Royal Rumble Boxing Tournament, a Charity Boxing Dinner and the tickets are now available for the event. The Royal Guard will meet the Parachute Regiment in this specific team competition in Bahrain on November 30.

Bahrain Boxing Federation arranged its first Charity Boxing Event in 2022 which was won by the Royal Guard defeating the Fusiliers by 8-1. The President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Excellency, Mr. Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa was one of the patronages of the boxing event in 2022 and he supports the upcoming second edition as well.

His Excellency, Mr. Shaikh Salman Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Vice-President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council also followed the bouts from the venue. The President of the Bahrain Boxing Federation Mr. Omar Salman Al Sulais and the Secretary General of the Bahrain National Olympic Committee, Mr. Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji all watched the charity boxing event in 2022.

Bahrain had a historic Olympic quota at the Tokyo Games two and half years ago when Denys Latypov bagged a spot. The super heavyweight (+92kg) boxer is still active in the national team together with the promising Azat Makhmetov and both of them are preparing hard to compete in the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event next year.

Some of Bahrain’s top boxers will be there at the 2nd Royal Rumble Boxing Tournament following their successes in the Dubai Open. Nine contests are scheduled in this dual match in Bahrain and high numbers of spectators are expected to take part in the venue. Mr. Tony Davis, the English head coach of Team Bahrain is the engine of the upcoming competition and the country’s boxing life.
