Tajikistan’s duo Abdumalik Boltayev and Ramoil Kurbanov earned gold medals in the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament
The Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament was held in Kyrgyzstan in the recent days which international competition saw several tough contests and excited fights. Tajikistan’s strong 17-year-old duo Abdumalik Boltayev and Ramoil Kurbanov continued their successes in the international stages and both won their weight classes in the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament.
Talas hosted the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament where 116 male boxers attended in 11 weight classes. Boxers who were born in 2001 and in 2002 were eligible to take part in the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament which age group is the 2019 youth category. Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan were each successful besides to the Kyrgyz boxers in the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament.
The pinweight (46kg) was officially added to the program of the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament in Talas. Russia’s Avdey Tsarenko arrived to the competition with gold medal chances and he was able to realize his dreams after beating Tajikistan’s Akelbayev Prizes Junior Tournament bronze medallist 16-year-old Akhadjan Vakhobov in the final.
Kyrgyzstan’s Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament silver medallist 16-year-old Baktybek Sadyrbek Uulu reached his career highlight with his gold medal after beating Kazakhstan’s Azamat Abdurakhmanov in the final of the light flyweight (49kg). Tajikistan’s Makanalin & Nokerbekov & Satenov Junior Tournament Khusravkhon Rakhimov and Kyrgyzstan’s Ilyaz Myrzabekov claimed the bronze medals in Talas.
Kazakhstan’s Almaz Duysenkul eliminated Kyrgyzstan’s Bayaman Magzymov in the quarter-finals and following that he defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Tayfur Aliyev and Kazakhstan’s Akylbek Mukhtarov during his road to the gold of the flyweight (52kg). Eighteen boxers attended at the bantamweight (56kg) in Talas Kyrgyzstan’s Osh-based Mirzokhid Imamnazarov won the title following his success over his teammate Azat Kuvatov while Kyrgyzstan’s Muktarbek Ibraimov had to travel back to his Chui region without any medal.
Kazakhstan’s Taraz-based Zhanserik Duysenbek stopped Kyrgyzstan’s ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Aidar Oroskulov as first and defeated all of his rivals including Edil Baktybek Uulu in the final of the lightweight (60kg). Kyrgyzstan’s Nursultan Duyshonbekov surprisingly claimed the title of the light welterweight (64kg) while Kyrgyzstan’s ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Umar Kubanychbek Uulu lost his first bout in his new category.
Tajikistan’s Abdumalik Boltayev won a strong Uzbek youth international tournament in August and he has done another sensational job in the Murataliev Youth Memorial Tournament. The 17-year-old Tajik welterweight (69kg) boxer eliminated Kyrgyzstan’s ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships bronze medallist Nuradin Rustambek Uulu in the semi-finals and did not give any chance to Kazakhstan’s Zhandos Ashirbay in the final of the event.
Tajikistan’s second gold medal was achieved by Youth National Championships silver medallist 17-year-old Ramoil Kurbanov who defeated Kazakhstan’s Daulet Abdymamynov, Russia’s Georgiy Ponomarenko and Kazakhstan’s Abdushamil Zhaksylyk during his road to the title of the middleweight (75kg) in Talas.
Kyrgyzstan’s Nurmukhamed Batyrov eliminated his teammate Junior National Champion Kerimbay Erkinov in the quarter-finals, he was slightly better than Russia’s Nikita Nikiforov and Uzbekistan’s Namangan-based Azimjon Abdullaev as well. Russia’s Timur Mukhamedzyanov returned to the Central Asian region after his first success which he achieved a few months ago and defeated Kazakhstan’s Yuriy Andreykin in the final of the heavyweight (91kg).
Uzbekistan’s Islomjon Ismoilov is not enough experienced in the international stage yet but he was able to do a small sensation in the final of the super heavyweight (+91kg) against Kyrgyzstan’s ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Akhmed Usupov who was competitive rival for Russia’s World No.1 Aleksey Dronov in the Budapest 2018 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.
