Akhmadjon Saidov was the best boxer in the Tajikistan Youth National Championships

The Tajikistan Youth National Championships was held for the women and men boxers in the city of Khudjand which is located in the northern area of the country. Boxers who were born in 1998 and in 1999 were eligible to compete in the national event where AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Akhmadjon Saidov delivered the best performance.
Their best youth boxers including Akhmadjon Saidov, Sunatullo Yunuszoda, Parviz Amonaliyev and Nekruz Salimov are preparing to the upcoming AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia between 14-27 November after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Altogether 12 women youth boxers attended in the female part of the competition and four of their talents have been crowned in the event. Rukharzo Khaknazarova of Dushanbe claimed the first gold medal in the Tajikistan Youth National Championships in Khudjand where she was too strong for Dilnoza Odinayeva.
Mizhgona Samadova had a hectic but successful final against Madina Gaforova at the Featherweight class (57 kg) while Farzona Abdulova dominated her gold medal bout over Umeda Zokirova at the Lightweight class (60 kg). Strong 18-year-old Mizhgona Boboyeva of Dushanbe competed in the last edition of the AIBA Women’s Youth Boxing Championships in Taipei and those experiences were enough for her to get her second national title among the youth boxers.
Altogether 107 youth men boxers took part in the Tajikistan Youth National Championships in ten weight classes. The first gold medal in the men competition was achieved by AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships participant Sunatullo Yunuszoda of Kulob who joined to the youth age group only in January but his efforts were enough to beat Shermukhammad Rustamov in the final of the Light Flyweight class (49 kg).
Murid Chorshambiyev was not the favourite of the Flyweight class (52 kg) but he was able to dominate all of his fights including his final against AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships competitor Zabelullo Ashurov. Oyatullo Yakubov of Dushanbe was the main favourite of the Bantamweight class (56 kg) in the championships but he could not fight in his quarter-final bout therefore Akramsho Muminshoyev was able to win the gold at the Bantamweight class (56 kg) after beating Amirjon Nazarov of Kulob in the final.
Alidjon Usmonov secured the next gold medal at the Lightweight class (60 kg) where he was too smart for Timur Nazarov of Dushanbe. Maruf Abdulloyev of Khudjand had a difficult contest in the semi-final of the Tajikistan Youth National Championships where he had to meet with AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships competitor 17-year-old Somon Savziali in the semi-final. Following Abdulloyev’s split triumph he defeated Afzalsho Gulov of Khatlon in the gold medal bout.
Nekruz Salimov will be turning to 17 later this year but he could advance to the final of the Welterweight class (69 kg) where he had a strong opponent, Fozil Radjabaliyev who also trains in Dushanbe. Salimov had a great final round which was enough for him to beat his talented rival by split decision in the championships.
Tajikistan’s best future hope Akhmadjon Saidov of Dushanbe claimed bronze medal at the 2015 AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships in St. Petersburg. The 17-year-old top talent joined to the youth age group only this January but claimed his first youth title in Khudjand where he was too strong for all of his rivals including Shakhrom Yormadov of Kulob in the final. The referee stopped their contest in the third round after Saidov’s lethal punches.
Nozim Azizov secured a further gold medal for the city of Dushanbe following his close final against Rakhmatullo Abdulloyev. Parviz Amonaliyev moved down to the Heavyweight class (91 kg) just before the event and secured his next national title in Dushanbe. Akhmad Jovid Borez of Dushanbe won the gold medal at the Super Heavyweight class (+91 kg) where he was too strong for Mirsaid Avzalov of Khudjand.
