Syrgak Dzhanseitov performed superbly in the Kyrgyz National Universiade
The National Universiade of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Bishkek where their next generation’s young elite boxers as Syrgak Dzhanseitov, Munarbek Seyitbek Uulu and Alisher Chatkalbekov won their weight classes.
Altogether 78 boxers attended in the Kyrgyz National Universiade where ten champions were getting their gold medals after the finals. The Kyrgyz national boxing team has been preparing to the Asian Games and their top athletes will be attending in the upcoming international training camp in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Nurzhigit Dyushebayev was bronze medallist in the last edition of the Kyrgyz Elite National Boxing Championships and lost to only their No.1 Mirlan Turkbay Uulu by split decision. The Kyrgyz U21 National Champion Dyushebayev controlled of the rounds against Mirlan Muratbek Uulu and won the title at the light flyweight (49kg).
ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships bronze medallist and Elite National Champion Syrgak Dzhanseitov had to meet with top national rival Rustam Muratov in the final of the flyweight (52kg). As in the youth level in the recent years Dzhanseitov was able to dominate their fight and won his next national title.
Kanatbek Abduvakhob Uulu has been competing in the international events since 2013 and took a few medals on these occasions. The Kyrgyz bantamweight (56kg) boxer had a tough quarter-final against Zhenishbek Belasharov but after that close contest he performed better and defeated Akylbek Esenbek Uulu in the final by unanimous decision.
Munarbek Seyitbek Uulu took bronze in the 2014 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships and claimed silver medal in the Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament. The 22-year-old lightweight (60kg) boxer was enough strong to beat National Elite Championships silver medallist Bayaman Alimbekov in the final of the event.
Kyrgyz U21 National Champion Bekzhan Ilichbek Uulu attended in the Pavlodar 2016 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships and his strong punches shocked Samat Zhusupov in the final of the light welterweight (64kg) in Bishkek. Following Bekzhan Ilichbek Uulu’s great performance another young talent Taalaybek Aitbek Uulu won a title in Bishkek where he defeated Yunus Khandyshinov in the final of the welterweight (69kg).
Defending National Elite Champion Ilyas Mukanbetov had to meet with his main rival in the final of the middleweight (75kg) with Ykhtyiar Shabdanbayev once again. Mukanbetov lost to his opponent in the semi-final of the Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament three months ago but this time he did a classic revenge.
ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships bronze medallist Alisher Chatkalbekov is a top talent in the country who is only 19 but captured the next title in the National Universiade. The teenage talent defeated for the gold Kyrgyz U21 National Champion Manucher Abdulaliyev who moved up to the light heavyweight (81kg) only in the recent months.
Zhakshylyk Kuzaliyev developed well in the recent two years and claimed silver medal in their Elite National Championships therefore his success in the final of the heavyweight (91kg) against Meder Stanbekov was an expected result. The super heavyweight (+91kg) title was won by Sanzhar Tairov who defeated Kyrgyz Elite National Boxing Championships bronze medallist Adylbek Talanbek Uulu in Bishkek.
