Strong girls at the Vietnam Youth National Championships

The Vietnam Boxing Federation arranged its next national event under the elite age groups and the busy competition was held at the Tran Quoc Toan Arena in Ninh Binh Province.
The Youth National Championships delivered high quality of boxing as many of their female boxers shined in the recent Asian Boxing Championships.
The 2007 and 2008 born boxers were eligible to participate in the Youth National Championships which saw eleven females and fourteen male champions in the Ninh Binh Province of Vietnam.
Their excellent female talents made strong impact in the international stage of boxing and the quality of the women’s finals were absolutely outstanding.
The ASBC Asian Youth bronze medallist Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai of Hanoi won the women’s minimumweight (48kg) against Nguyen Thi Tuong of Tay Ninh in the first remarkable youth final in the event.
Thanh Hoa’s Tran Thi Hoa was also a bronze medallist at the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Colombo and she was too smart for Pham Thi Diem Quynh in the final of the flyweight (50kg).
The ASBC Asian Youth Championships silver finisher Vu Thi Tom of Hung Yen has brilliant technical skills and she is one of the most experienced boxers in Vietnam in this age group. The 17-year-old boxer controlled her final bout against Hanoi’s Nguyen Huong Lan and she remained on the top in Vietnam.
Another ASBC Asian Youth silver medallist, Nguyen Thi Bich moved up two categories to the light welterweight (63kg) but the Hanoi-based boxer was strong enough to beat Bui Thi Hong Sinh in the final.
The ASBC Asian Youth Championships bronze medallist Truong Ha Vy of Hanoi shined against Lo Bao Ngoc at the light middleweight (70kg) final while Tran Thanh Tuyen impressed at the last female title bout.
Ho Chi Minh City’s Nguyen Chi Duc won the hectic men’s minimumweight (48kg) over Huynh Trung Thanh in the Youth National Championships which is always the most important in the country’s boxing life.
Luong Phuc Huy won the next important category, the flyweight (51kg) against Nguyen Quang Vinh of Hanoi while Tran Vinh Hung had a brilliant success over Luong Van Kha at the bantamweight (54kg).
Ta Tan Minh (57kg) of Da Nang, Vo Duy Quan (63.5kg) of Quang Ngai, Nguyen Duy Thai (71kg) of Quang Ninh, Le Van Quan (80kg) of Quan Doi and Ly Truong Kiet (86kg) of Ho Chi Minh City are the winners who need to be watched in the future.
