Spotlight on Tajikistan’s future star 15-year-old Parviz Akhmedov Jr. who plans to continue the family traditions

The head coach of the Tajikistan elite national team is Mr. Parviz Akhmedov whose boxers earned already two quota places for the Tokyo Olympic Games through the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event. His son Parviz Akhmedov Jr. is an excellent talent who could be Tajikistan’s new sensation in the upcoming international events.

Tajikistan Boxing Federation produced wonderful results in the 2019 ASBC events especially at the Fujairah ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and at the Bangkok ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. Tajikistan won gold medals on both events and showed great future potential in all of the ASBC Championships in 2019.

Parviz Akhmedov Jr. was born in 2005, he is only 15 now and joined to the junior age group on January 2020. The younger Parviz Akhmedov competes at the middleweight (75kg) now and he is famous of his amazing physical skills and strength. His coach father was seven-times National Champion in Tajikistan and the younger Parviz is planning to continue that road and reach also strong international results in the future. He is member of the junior national team of Tajikistan which prepares to their local events in the country. The 15-year-old talent competed already in international events in Russia and in Kyrgyzstan in spite of his young age and won those tournaments. The younger Parviz Akhmedov defeated all of his rivals during his competitions, he has got still unbeaten record.
