Six nations represents the finals in Atyrau

In the opening contest of the fourth competition day at the Issatay Taimanov & Makhambet Utemisov Memorial Tournament Kazakhstan’s Atyrau-based Rashid Salauatov continued his winning series against Syria’s Housen Al-Masri in the semi-final of the light flyweight class. He will now meet for the gold with the top favourite of the division Kazakh National Championships bronze medallist Mardan Berikbayev who did not give any chance to Russia’s Anatoliy Sevostyanov in Bout No.2 of Day4.

Kyrgyzstan’s Youth National Champion Roman Sadirzhan Ulu made a huge surprise after beating Kazakhstan’s AIBA Youth World Championships competitor Adilet Kurmetov by 22:20 in the flyweight semi-final. Both competitors were born in 1994 and will have excellent future expectations in the world of boxing. Sadirzhan Ulu’s next opponent will be the host nation’s Bakkozha Inayatullayev who eliminated Tajikistan’s only medallist in Atyrau Safoviddin Yusufi.

Russia’s new hope Egor Egorov won his third battle against Azerbaijan’s Ramal Yusifzade in the city of Atyrau and advanced to the final of the bantamweight class. The Russian fighter will be facing with Kazakhstan’s Atyrau-based 19-year-old Erzhan Ordabayev who was member of the youth national squad last year and now he joined to the region’s elite squad.

AIBA Youth World Championships quarter-finalist Kamran Bakhshaliyev reached the finals in Atyrau as only Azeri fighter in the competition. The 20-year-old lightweight boxer triumphed over Uzbekistan’s Sydney Jackson Memorial Tournament silver medallist Dostonbek Abdurakhmonov by 8:7 and will now meet a top rival Kazakhstan’s Darkhan Zhumsakbayev in the final of the event.

Kazakhstan’s Azamat Dosmagambetov will be another Atyrau-based fighter who will be able to fight for the final glory in the last competition day. The local light welterweight fighter defeated his compatriot Maulen Oskenbek by 13:9 while his final opponent will be Ukraine’s strong Mger Oganisyan.
