Sidigov and Sidzhayev were the top winners at the Tajikistan Schoolboys National Championships
The ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Anushervon Sidigov and another Asian medallist, Dilshod Sidzhayev were the top winners in the finals of the Tajikistan Schoolboys National Championships in the city of Kulob.
Kulob is the fourth biggest city in Tajikistan and it is located in the Khatlon region, also famous of its sports schools.
The boxers who were born in 2011 and in 2012 were eligible to participate in the Tajikistan Schoolboys and Schoolgirls National Championships.
The young talents were able to compete at the 33kg, 35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70 weight categories.
Dushanbe’s Mukhammad Sayfuddinov eliminated Emomali Kurbonov in the semi-finals of the 33kg weight class and he was also too smart and quick for Abdullo Kamolov to take the first title of the Nationals.
Tajikistan’s ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Anushervon Sidigov was one of the top stars of the National Championships. The 14-year-old pugilist proved his very best against Jabrail Nuraliyev of Khatlon region and he earned the gold medal at the 35kg weight category.
Another Sughd region’s boxer, the 14-year-old Dilshod Sidzhayev claimed a bronze medal at the 2024 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Al Ain and he became the next gold medallist in Kulob. Sidzhayev eliminated Davlatnazar Davlatmamadov in the semi-finals of the 37kg weigh category and he was too strong for Kulob’s Akhmad Mirzoyev in the final.
Akram Ismatov made the next remarkable performance in the national event where he defeated a local boy, Idris Fakhriyev at the 40kg weight class final. Kulob’s Safarali Khojanazarov kept the title of the 46kg on home soil before Sughd region’s Andrian Demyan controlled the 49kg.
Dushanbe’s most experienced boxer in this age group, Ali Nazarov was a quarter-finalist at the 2024 edition of the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Al Ain but he lost to Abdullo Saloyev of Khatlon in the final of the 55kg.
Sughd region’s Askarshokh Mavlonov also had the international routine from the 2024 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships but Khatlon region’s Alijon Shukurov defeated him for the title of the 70kg weight class.
