Following his quota place for Tokyo, he claimed silver medal at the Dubai 2021 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. The Iranian featherweight (57kg) boxer is 21-year-old and his technical knowledge could be his success in Tokyo. Seyed Shahin Mousavi switched from other martial arts to boxing and won two bronze medals for Iran in the 2019 Bangkok and 2021 Dubai editions of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. He is member of the national team at the middleweight (75kg) since 2017 and competed several international championships and tournaments.
