Satayev, Taybekov and Utebekov started well at the Kazakhstan Youth Sports Games

Tagir Satayev, Timur Taybekov and Zhalgas Utebekov proved the best performances at the Kazakhstan Youth National Sports Games in the city of Kyzyl-Orda on Day1.

The city of Kyzyl-Orda is located in south-central Kazakhstan and it is the capital of the region with the population of more than 300,000 inhabitants.

Kazakhstan’s Andrei Yeskin Youth Memorial, the Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Tournament, the Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament and the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial were preparation competitions for the Youth National Sports Games.

Altogether 96 female and 218 male boxers are competing in the Kazakhstan Youth Sports Games in Kyzyl-Orda to earn the 25 medals. The 2007 and 2008 born boxers are eligible to participate in the competition which will be a strong selection event for this age group.

Kyzyl-Orda region’s Dias Alpysbayev claimed several medals in the recent youth competitions and he had a great opening bout against Yersin Sagyntay of Akmola region to win their minimumweight (48kg) meeting.

Pavlodar region has strong talents and their Ramazan Kazakbay succeeded in the first competition day over Beket Kasanov while Shymkent’s Birzhan Nurymbetov and Akhmet Koyev both joined the next stage of boxing at the flyweight (51kg).

Yaroslav Khomenko competed in the junior and youth competitions very well in the previous half year but he had to do his very best to beat Almaty region’s Yerassyl Tileuberdi at the men’s bantamweight (54kg) preliminary.

Almaty region’s Daniyar Akbisenov competed international events in Azerbaijan, in Russia and his homeland but he had a very difficult tactical battle against Yerkebulan Adaybek in the first preliminary round of the featherweight (57kg).

The men’s welterweight (67kg) is a seriously strong category in the Youth National Games and Damir Ibragimov won the first strong contest in Kyzyl-Orda. Kostanay region’s Kirill Shkuta had a close bout against Sarmat Urazayev while a national boxer, Kenesaryamir Marzhikpayev looked confident in his opener.

Oral’s Tagir Satayev returned to the youth competitions with successes this year and he started with an easy success over Yeldiyar Kaiyrbek at the light middleweight (71kg). The ASBC Asian Junior Champion Timur Taybekov also amazed in the first session, he stopped Mansur Zhumakhan at the light middleweight (80kg).

Shymkent’s Zhalgas Utebekov has joined the youth age group only this January but he boxed over his previous level in the opening day of the Games. The youngster eliminated an ASBC medallist seeded boxer, Bakytzhan Aitmukhanov at the cruiserweight (86kg) by bout review delivering the main sensation of the first session.
