Salem Ayed and Rashed Abdelsadeq won the best categories at the Kuwait Youth National Championships

The first Kuwait Youth National Championships was held at the Sabah Al-Salem Boxing Hall and two of the promising boxers, Salem Ayed and Rashed Abdelsadeq impressed in the finals.
The Kuwait Boxing Federation arranged its third competition in this new season and altogether thirteen champions have been crowned in Kuwait City.
Boxers from the 2007 and 2008 age groups were eligible to participate in the Kuwait Youth National Championships in the Sabah Al-Salem Boxing Hall.
The 17 and 18-year-old boxers could compete in the following categories: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg,86kg, 92kg and +92kg.
The best team of the Kuwait Youth National Championships was the Sulaibikhat Sports Club as in their previous Schoolboys and Junior Nationals. Their boxers claimed five gold medals in the event, but teams from Naser, Qurain, Kuwait City and Jahra all earned titles in the Youth Nationals.
The first winner of the Youth National Championships was Naser’s Salman Nemran at the minimumweight (48kg) who had a successful final against Abdalateef Abdelrahman.
Naser’s next boxer, the 17-year-old Salem Ayed progressed a lot this year and he had the strong performance against Mohammed Ahmed of Sahel at the flyweight (51kg) final.
Another strong future prospect, Rashed Abdelsadeq became Kuwait City’s first champion in the Youth Nationals, following he dominated the bantamweight (54kg) final over Mohammed Abdalmehsin of Qurain.
Qurain’s first gold medal was achieved by Ali Abdullah at the featherweight (57kg) while Abdullah Khalil bagged Jahra’s lone title in the event.
Abdalaziz Omar kept the welterweight (67kg) title in Kuwait City after beating Abdalaziz Soud in the final, while Sulaibikhat’s first success was taken by Abdullah Najim at the light middleweight (71kg).
The Sulaibikhat Sports School dominated the heavier weight categories, their Metab Faisal (75kg), Mesaed Jaber (80kg), Soud Walled (86kg) and Fahed Nawaf (92kg) all celebrated their titles in the Youth Nationals.
