Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu is a new sensation in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships where 208 boxers attended for the medals
The Kyrgyz Junior National Boxing Championships was held in the city of Kant which is located near to their capital city. The biggest surprise of the Kyrgyz Junior National Boxing Championships has done by a newcomer, Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu who defeated titleholder Azat Marat Uulu in his final bout. Among the favourites Azat Kubatov, Baygazy Malik Uulu, Stanislav Mishin and Khalid Aliyev all won their weight classes in Kant.
The 2002-2003 born age group could compete in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships in the city of Kant. Altogether 15 weight classes were held in the Kyrgyz Junior National Boxing Championships. Besides to the 13 official junior weights the local organizers added also the 42kg and 44kg categories. The number of the male boxers was 208 in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships.
The first gold medal was achieved by Aidar Ydyrysov who trains in Dzhalal-Abad and defeated Osh region’s Fazlidin Dzhurayev in the final of the 42kg. The second title in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships was taken by Bishkek’s Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament winner Anvar Khodzhiyev who defeated Issyk-Kul’s Erzhan Avenov in the final of the 44kg.
Batken’s Baktybek Sadirbek Uulu was not the main favourite of the pinweight (46kg) but he was able to beat all of his four rivals in Kant. Eighteen boxers attended at the light flyweight (48kg) in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships and the title was won by Bishkek’s Ikhtiyar Nyshanov who defeated Chui region’s Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament winner Erlan Yesenkulov in the final.
Issyk-Kul’s Nurbolot Zhyrgalbekov had a tough quarter-final against Dzhalal-Abad’s Nuraly Anaraliyev but following that success he was able to beat his further rivals easier and captured the title of the flyweight (50kg) after beating Maksat Zhusupov in the final. Chui region’s Aziz Sabirov had do his best ever performance to beat Dastan Samudinov and Bishkek’s Amankeldi Omurzakov in the final stages of the light bantamweight (52kg).
Bishkek’s Azat Kubatov was titleholder in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships but he moved up from the light flyweight (48kg) up to the bantamweight (54kg) in the recent one year. The 16-year-old Kubatov impressed with his tough combinations and technical skills in the whole event and following his RSC successes he triumphed over Issyk-Kul’s Samat Zhenishbekov by unanimous decision defending his throne.
Kant hosted the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships and their top boxer Toychubek Ilyazov started his campaign at the featherweight (57kg) with a RSC success. That superb victory increased his confidence and took out the way his main rivals as Bakhtiyar Akhunbayev and Dzhalal-Abad’s Askat Kultayev capturing a gold for the host city.
Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament winner Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu delivered one of the biggest sensations of the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships in Kant. He defeated titleholder and Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament winner strong Azat Marat Uulu in the final of the lightweight (60kg) and has got the right to box for Kyrgyzstan in the international stages.
Bakyt Toktosun Uulu was silver medallist in the Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament and attended also in the last edition of the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships but his gold medal from Kant is his career highlight. Osh-based Islam Turgunov claimed silver medal in the 2017 Kyrgyz Junior National Championships and moved up to the welterweight (66kg) where he dominated all of his fights including the final against Mukhamed Bagiyev.
Osh region’s Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament winner Baygazy Malik Uulu defeated strong Uzbek boxers also during his career therefore his success over Alimukhamed Khiyazov was not a surprise in the final of the light middleweight (70kg). Bishkek’s Stanislav Mishin claimed silver medal in the 2017 Kyrgyz Junior National Championships which he changed into gold this time after beating Osh-based Nurmukhamed Batyrov.
Chui region’s Moldaliyev Junior Memorial Tournament winner Khalid Aliyev continued his winning path in the national events and stopped all of his rivals at the light heavyweight (+80kg) including Kant’s Aleksandr Dresvyannikov in the final. Bishkek’s Adil Usenov had to meet in the final of the heavyweight (+80kg) with his main rival Nikita Korobkin but he was able to manage that tactical fight and achieved the gold medal.
