Rejepov, Lukmanov and Babayev are the most experienced junior talents from Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan will send eleven boxers to the Commonwealth of Independent States Games which will be held in Azerbaijan.
Eight cities will host the CIS Games in Azerbaijan and boxing will feature at the Yevlakh Olympic Center from September 29 until October 5.
The management of the Turkmenistan Boxing Federation arranged its Junior National Championships this year and their boxers had a strong preparation for the CIS Games.
Alisher Goshayev is the youngest in the team and the silver medallist from the 2025 Turkmenistan Junior National Championships where he competed at the pinweight (46kg).
Rakhmanberdi Rejepov won the light flyweight (48kg) at the Turkmenistan Junior National Championships and he has the technical skills to beat many of his opponents.
Their Hangeldi Lukmanov competed in the Asian Junior Boxing Championships one year ago and the 16-year-old boxer was named among the medal favourites at the light bantamweight (52kg) which is his new division this year.
Ezbermuhammet Myratdurdyyev will turn to 15 only this December but he is already a Junior National Champion at the featherweight (57kg) and he competed in the Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Al Ain.
The Junior National Champion Muhammetemin Begenjov is a technician boxer from the capital city, Ashgabat at the lightweight (60kg) but the Commonwealth of Independent States Games will be his international debut.
Ashgabat’s Abdyrahman Babayev claimed a silver medal at the 2024 Turkmenistan Junior National Championships which he switched into gold this year and he could be a surprise at the light welterweight (63kg) in Azerbaijan.
Abdurahman Rejepov was quarter-finalist at the 2024 Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Al Ain and after his next national success, he was selected to participate at the welterweight (66kg) in the CIS Games.
Ashgabat’s Selim Meredov is also an athlete from the 2010 born age group but Ysmayyl Mollayev, Jasurbeg Ahmedov and Seyran Annagulyyev also added to the squad.
