Ramisha Shrestha and Lal Prasad Upreti were the top winners in the Nepal Talent Hunt Selection Tournament

The Nepal’s Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Talent Hunt Selection 2025 finished with its female and male finals in Lalitpur. Nepal’s international boxers, such as Ramisha Shrestha and Lal Prasad Upreti delivered the best performances in this selection competition.
The President of Nepal Boxing, Mr. Ram Awale followed the female and male bouts of the recent U14-U16-U18 competition and he was also there in the National Elite Selection Tournament to check the performance of their national members.
Nepal has promising women’s boxing life, their younger male boxers are also great prodigies and their National Federation hosted several events to give them more experience and exposure in their homeland.
Nepal’s Ramisha Shrestha proved her strong progress in the recent years and she competed at the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships as well. The young lady controlled the first and second rounds against Manisha Rai of H2O Boxing Gym and she finished the minimumweight (48kg) final in the third.
Asmita Duwal also has strong international routine as Ramisha Shrestha and she repeated the same performance in the next final. Duwal, the participant from the recent ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships, stopped Divya Limbu in the third round, same as Shrestha.
The women’s bantamweight (54kg) delivered a big fight between Sushila Bholan and Kabita Singh in Lalitpur. The final result was depended on the performance of their last round when Bholan proved it better and she captured the title of this third female category.
Lal Prasad Upreti represented Nepal in several international competitions and he gained the control of his male flyweight final immediately against Arpil Rana Magar, the bronze medallist from the ASBC Asian U22 Championships. Upreti kept continuing the same performance until the last gong and he won his next national title.
Chandra Bakhadur Thapa and Pradip Maharjan both are international level boxers and the first looked smarter in their bantamweight final meeting. Singhbir Limbu earned the title of the lightweight (60kg) after beating Samar Lama in a hectic contest which was finished 4:1 in the favour of Limbu.
Bhupendra Thapa is a veteran boxer in the Nepali national team but he had still the speed and skills to beat Sonam Sarki in the next male final. Bharat Chand, Bikram Chaudhary and Samrat Thapa Chhetri became the remaining gold medallists in the Talent Hunt Selection Tournament.
